Doog DVD
0907ML40 Out of Darkness
London Wolves have been associated with Doog since his arrival at Molineux in 1967 and he became our Club President in 1968.   Later, when John Richards accepted the Presidency, Doog became Life President.  We are proud that he was our friend.

To celebrate his life and to support the charity he and Bob Runham formed Xpro - the International Association of ex-Professional Footballers we have, with Merlyn Humphreys, Doog’s Partner, as Executive Producer, created a DVD reflecting more recent aspects of his life while paying homage to the days at Wolves and for Northern Ireland. Don’t forget you can win  a copy of Dave Instone’s book Wolves in Pictures here which includes the Doog in action.

Our thanks to Beacon Radio - the official Wolves commentary partner - for broadcasting this interview with Merlyn after the 1-0 victory over Preston North End on 1st December. Press the play button on the audio player (top left) to listen.  Beacon Radio football coverage - with Robbie Dennison and Bull Hatton covering Wolves is here  And thanks too, to Steve Johnson, Chief Football Writer at the Birmingham Mail for the continued coverage of the DVD.

Doog Black Country MailThe DVD contains video of Doog’s goals - his hat trick on home debut; against Washington Whips (for LA Wolves) and against Brazil for the All-Ireland team (Shamrock Rovers).  The DVD also shows his appearance on Question Time in 2006 and a radio interview with John Hannam, also in 2006 - which includes an absolutely unique recording of Derek singing.  From 2005 there are Doog’s interviews with BBC NI and the Sky Sports Special Tribute to George Best.  The DVD also contains footage of Doog’s funeral on July 5th 2007 and the minute’s ovation at Molineux in August 2007.  Some of the video quality reflects the age of the material!

Now that the introductory period is over the DVD costs only £15 plus p&p.   Email us at doog@londonwolves.com to register for a copy or contact Dave Slape WWLSC secretary here.  You can also buy it in Wolverhampton click here Further details for London Wolves members are here
