Wolves release a fantastic new DVD in time for the Sunderland home match 24th November 2006 - “The History of Wolves” produced by ILC Sports with David Instone.  This will be unmissable for any Wolves fan - Here’s what WoW say about it at http://www.wolves.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10307~914038,00.html
History Of Wolves
For the first time ever, the history of Wolverhampton Wanderers is told on DVD.

This official club merchandise product is available only from Wolves retail stores and online megastore for just £20 plus postage and packing. The DVD is launched just in time for your Christmas shopping, on 24th November 2006.

If you order online before midnight on 29/10/06 you can have your name on a roll of honour at the end of the DVD.
All you have to do is order the DVD online in the normal manner then email the name you would like on the roll of honour together with your order number to mailorder@wolves.co.uk
Your name will then be featured at the end of the DVD.

The DVD will feature the full history of one of the founder members of the Football League and contain a detailed account of the club's 129 year history.

Rare footage has been sourced from archives, depicting classic matches and unique interviews. The feature length DVD also includes some behind the scene action that has scarcely been viewed, together with insights from club legends including Billy Wright, Steve Bull, Jimmy Dunn, Bill Slater and many others.

Make sure you are one of the first to own this unique product officially charting the club's history for the first time on DVD.

This page has a promo video plus photos from some of the filming  Some of the historic videos are already available to London Wolves members (eg Honved in the members pages) but they have a Pathe News logo - on the DVD you will be able to see them “en clair”!

David says about the DVD

The cast of Characters:

Interviews of half an hour or longer have already been conducted with former players Bert Williams, Jimmy Dunn, Roy Swinbourne, Ron Flowers, Eddie Stuart, Bill Slater, Malcolm Finlayson, Bobby Thomson, Dave Wagstaffe, John Holsgrove, Mike Bailey, John Richards, Andy Gray, Keith Downing and present-day keeper Matt Murray; also with ex-managers Sammy Chapman and Graham Turner; with journalists David Harrison, Steve Gordos and Leon Hickman; and with supporters Charles Ross, Jim Heath, John Lalley, Bob Adams and Malcolm Black.

We have yet to sit down with Steve Bull and Sir Jack Hayward and are also hoping to add Kenny Hibbitt to the list if deadlines permit.

 Highly Exclusive Footage:

Among the rare and, in many cases, previously unseen items we have at our fingertips are Wolves arriving at and playing in the 1921 FA Cup final, the two FA Cup semi-finals against Manchester United in 1949, Wolves at leisure in Russia in 1955, Molineux’s great floodlit nights of the 1950s, including the visit of Barcelona, the Charity Shield games against Nottingham Forest and Burnley, the run to the 1960 FA Cup final including wins over Leicester and Villa, interviews with Stan Cullis, Joe Gardiner and Billy Wright, Derek Dougan’s hat-trick on his home debut for Wolves, the 6-5 win against Aberdeen in America in 1967, two precious long interviews with Peter Knowles, plus many clips of him in action and the early 1970s battles against Leeds and Tottenham.

As befitting a Club History, the dvd comes up to date with the League Cup and Sherpa Van Trophy triumphs, the Bully and Sir Jack era and the 2003 play-off final and subsequent Premiership season.
