Meet the Players 2006

Glenn Hoddle has now kindly confirmed the annual London Wolves "Meet the Players" event. It will be on the night before the Reading match ie Friday 17th March (St Patrick's Day) at the Crowne Plaza, Fieldhouse Lane, Marlow on Thames, SL7 1GJ at 6:00pm (sharp!) as last year. Note that this is a members only event. Directions and map follow or you can look here on multimap http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=51.5711&lon=-0.7524&scale=10000&icon=x The Hotel is 1 mile from Marlow station and there are a couple of pubs near the station. The hotel reckon it's an £8 taxi ride.

From the M40 take junction 4 south and the A404 towads the M4, Slough and Reading.  From the M4 take the A404(M) to High Wycombe at Jucntion 8/9. This joins the A404.

Take the Marlow exit on the A404 dual carriageway - shown as Little Marlow Road (A4155) on the map. Past a speed camera and take Fieldhouse Lane on the left. Follow this to the railway line and into the private area for the rugby club and left into the hotel.

Trains go to Marlow station from Paddington via a change at Maidenhead. The 15:45 at Paddington is scheduled to arrive at Marlow at 17:00. There’s a 20:17 return (next is 21:10)

You could try to arrange a lift from High Wycombe which has better rail links since a taxi would be quite pricey.

Glenn intends to start promptly at 18:15 so please be there by 18:00, so that the players’ dinners don’t go cold!!

You can reach me on 078 8181 0353 if you get lost.
