WIN THE FA CUP FOR A DAY COMPETITION
In advance of the first FA Cup final at the new Wembley Stadium on Saturday 19 May, Know The Score Books have teamed up with the sponsors of the FA Cup, E.on, and Borders to launch a fantastic competition in which one lucky person will win the FA Cup for a day. Yes, a Borders customer who buys Know The Score Books' recently published book 'Match Of My Life FA Cup Finals - 1953-1969' will win the FA Cup, for a day. Fantastic! This offer is exclusive to Borders and promotional material will be available in store directing customers to purchase a copy of the book, retain the original receipt as proof of purchase and then log on to www.bordersstores.co.uk/competitions to enter this fantastic competition. The winner will be selected at random and, as long as they can prove they have bought a copy of the book from Borders, will have the joy of hosting the FA Cup for the day at home or their place of work.
'Match Of My Life - FA Cup Finals 1953-1969' features the personal recollections of such FA Cup legends as Manchester City's Bert Trautmann, Liverpool's Ian St John, Spurs' Dave Mackay and Pat Jennings, Manchester United's Bill Foulkes, Wolves' Norman Deeley, Everton's Brian Labone (now sadly deceased), Newcastle's Vic Keeble, West Ham's John Bond and Aston Villa's Peter McParland, who, amongst many others, describe the greatest day in their lives when they starred as their club won the FA Cup. The book is a tremendous feelgood journey through some of the most famous FA Cup finals in history through the eyes of some of the greatest players to have graced the hallowed turf in an era which truly cemented Wembley as the venue of legends.
This Sunday The Observer will feature the book in its sports section of the newspaper with a selection of the choice moments of players' memories and photographs from these classic finals.
