MEET THE PLAYERS 29th April 2005 London Wolves annual “Meet the Players” was held on 29th April at the team hotel for the Reading away match (what a great win).
Asked by Stef what he could say about the contract negotations, he spotted a water skiier and asked what on earth Kenny was up to. More pictures, including Kenny without his hat on, Glenn’s pro-zone quiz questions, and some of the other answers from Glenn are on the Meet the Players page in the members’ section (here). The players had come down from Wolverhampton to the warmest day of the year, brilliiant sunshine and a training day at England Headquarters at Bisham Abbey, well prepared for a great result at the Madejski on Saturday (won 1-2). Meet the Players evening - 26th March 2004 London Wolves were very grateful to the Club and to Dave Jones for allowing us an hour with the players before the Chelsea match on 27th March at a nearby hotel. On hand to greet us was Captain Paul Ince and several of the players. Then we were able to join them in a relaxing and informal area for drinks before DJ sent them to bed at 9ish. Already lined up as man of the season, Alex Rae was there, Sparky (Mark Kennedy), Vio Ganea, Lee Naylor and others. We talked with Vio about his family’s move. After an hour or so of general chat with the players, DJ and his main staff members kindly gave us an another hour to ask about anything we liked. The obvious question about “how much did you get/why couldn’t you buy the players you needed/....” were openly answered by Dave. He quoted his response to SJH’s question “how much would it cost to win the Premiership?” saying £70 million. Abramovich could have got it cheaper then with Dave as his manager. We were treated also to an in-depth review of the various injuries - especially to Matt and Joleon and George by the club doctor (DJ warned us not to ask!) This was a really enjoyable evening with some really nice genuine people. Players’ Evening - End of Season party- June Second, at the end of season party / Players’ evening in Wolverhampton following the Tottenham match, the true Wolves Player of the Season was presented with our award by Chairman Stuart Earl.... Alex Rae, also scorer of Wolves only Premiership Goal of the month, was serenaded with a chorus of “he’s got no hair but we don’t care, Alex, Alex Rae”. We wished Alex every success as he moves to Glasgow Rangers The entire Club was also overwhelmed by the outstanding buffet provided by Tracy and Ryan Nelson and Lynne and Alan (Nobby) Blount.
Also attending were real heroes of the 1974 League Cup final....Goalkeeper Gary Pierce, in for the injured Phil Parkes (then on £25 a week plus a fiver if he played and kept a clean sheet!) made so many excellent saves to be the real man of the match. And John McAlle, who made more appearances than any other player in the 73-74 season. If you haven’t bought the video do so! Stef Leonard auctioned three copies at the event. Two of the most popular members of London Wolves were recognised for their outstanding work for the club - Dave Slape and Peter Woodifield - who were presented with tankards. Here are Peter and Dave receiving their awards from John McAlle and Gary Pierce Also at the meeting were our outstanding goalie Phil Parkes (the real one) and Terry Wharton and Jean, his wife. Here’s London Wolves member Robert looking on on what must have been a cracker of a joke, before they posed, and Terry addressing the meeting with Stuart.
Annual General Meeting July 10th 2004 During the close season, the Club’s AGM was held a the Pied Bull in Streatham SW 16 on July 10th. A report (draft minutes) appears in the Members’ Only Zone. Our guest of honour was Frank Munro, Wolves legend of the seventies, and his wife Naomi. Frank starred in defence for Wolves with 365+6 appearances and 19 goals. He is quoted in the excellent Peter Lansley’s book “Running with Wolves”, recently published and available from the Wolves shop, as saying that Leeds’ Billy Bremner offered him a bribe of “five grand to give away a penalty”. Wolves won the match 2-1 preventing Leeds from winning the League Championship, which went to Brian Clough’s Derby County. Frank is pictured here with Naomi and Stoo, while Stef somehow got into the second picture....

The minutes will be shown in the members’ section on this site once the Club have published them. That section will also cover other items brought up in the meeting - link
The Club members decided at the AGM to sponsor Lee Naylor for 2005-6. Cliff also reminded us about the Goalden gate weekly draw which has already been won by a London Wolves member and so far has put £1,000 back into WWLSC.
Steve's record: D.O.B - 28th March 1965 Fee - £50,000 From West Brom Goals - 306 For Wolves (Club Record) , 1 For West Brom Int Goals - 4 For England Club Apps - 545 For Wolves , 2 For West Brom International Apps - 13 For England; Hat-tricks - 18 For Wolves (Club Record) Decisions that will directly affect the membership were - no change to membership fees, Virgin train prices are unchanged from last season, early booking for the 40th Anniversary event will be required, a change to the Newsletter, and changes to the Club’s rules. Guy Thomas was elected specifically to represent the members travelling on Club trips. Two nominations were received for the Chairman position, and Stuart Earl was re-elected. More in the members’ section here
Prior to the Chairman’s address Stuart drew Phil O’Connor’s name out of the hat for the Match of My Life - England World Cup book. Rob Goddard and George Sinagra were the only other all correct entries from WWLSC. Stuart, after reading out apologies, passed around the London Wolves trademark certificate which was granted earlier in the year. It was recorded Secretary: Dave Slape reported that we have currently 248 members on the books and reported on the promotional item sales. The 40th badges should be available at The Valley. Cliff Egan added to Dave’s report about the revenue generated by the Goalden Gate draw - £508 last year and reminded members to sign up. Travel: Peter Woodifield was still on vacation but sent in his report. The Virgin service has improved but the remote bookings service is still causing difficulties The only delayed trip was to Norwich where the train was cancelled and a refund has been gained. The club is still owed £175 by ex-members. Peter also asked that if a member can’t make a trip that Top attendances were Preston (50) and Hull (48) at home and Sheffield (37) and Hull away. No details are yet available on fares for next season. We have 7 season tickets and 2 away seasons bought on the Early Bird scheme. Peter thanked Dave, Guy, Maurice and Pam in the WWFC ticket office; the AGM thanked Peter for all his hard work Treasurer’s Report
Election of Officers. Sadly David Hodges has decided to resign from the Committee. Stuart proposed that he was not replaced as Rob Goddard was seconded on earlier in the year. The Committee was re-elected. Membership Fee unchanged
Membership communication. Members will receive a package shortly asking whether they want a printed magazine or to view it on the internet. (We don’t have email addresses for around 100 members). Not replying will be taken as asking for Internet only). Also included will be Goalden Gate enrolment forms. We also have the opportunity to run our own Fantasy League. Anyone interested in participating please email me here. Probably £10 - winner takes half the pot. We’ll also ask this question in the member communication. Entertainments - John Engleman - 40th Dinner Dance.
There should be the opportunity to buy copies of Ernie Hunt’s book and the Match of My Life - Wolves (featuring John Richards, Mike Bailey, Bully and others). The meal should finish around 9:15pm when the raffles will take place. As well as the players, Richard Collins, a Director of Charlton Athletic will be joining us. Dave Dungar from Chaucer Group, Wolves main sponsors, Thanks were given to sponsors of the event - Roy Eagles, John Engleman, Dave Slape, Dave Hodges, and Roy Bowdler as well as Tower Press and Digiprinters. There wil be a river boat trip with the Players from Greenwich Pier to Charing X or Westminster on the Sunday morning. Details will be given out at the dinner. Cliff Egan: Cliff is Wolves’ representative to WWLSC and will be attending the 40th Dinner together with Stuart Cain, Wolves’ Director of Marketing & Communications. Cliff had spoken to Jez Moxey en route who asked that his best wishes were passed on to London Wolves. He said thank you for the fans who make the effort to support Wolves home and away - and for their friendship to the Club. Cliff emphasised the £500 gain to London Wolves from the Goalden Gate draw (£4.33 a month(?)) and Roy emphasised the benefits of winning! A question was asked about the make up of the Wolves Parliament. (Details of members and David Instone’s notes of the first meeting are on our site here. Wolves are very keen to extend fan dialogues and this is an important part of that. The membership was by nomination (or self nomination) and the membership was then selected independently of Wolves. If you have issues to be raised you can take it up with any member (eg Chris Cox of Daventry). Cliff repeated Jez’s comments about the rumours of Milan Mandaric taking over the Club, and reminded us that SJH had written off £38m in loans so that any takeover by a committed well financed fan could happen. Another question about the manager appointment revealed that about 12 of the many candidates were serious possibilities but they were working on this every day. Paul Ince is certainly in the frame but Jez is also trying to get his player contract sorted, and that is a separate matter. (Paul has has the opportunity to put his views on what needs dping to Rick Hayward (see Garry’s News)) Jez is also stressing the culture change at the Club and that the Youth and Academy set up look good for the future. There are cutbacks on both sides of the Club but they were needed.

Matthew Hawthorn expressed the opinion which was generally agreed that the small loss on the 40th Dinner was acceptable. The loss of ££4,000 was mitigated by £800 excess in the previous financial year. Tr There is no increase in fares from Virgin for this season which are £16 for members, Guests are £19, Juniors £8 & junior guests £9.50 Peter again thanked the drivers Dave and Stuart and the ticket office staff at Molineux, especially Pam and Steve. No shows for the train still occasionally cause problems with Peter having to wait for them until the last minute. All no shows are charged for the trip. It was proposed and agreed that the Travel Secretary should also have the ability to impose discretionary “fines” for no shows without notice on top of the charges due.
Newsletter Since the previous editor resigned Stef and his printer have produced the Newsletters for August (on the 40th) and December (which included Stef’s meeting with Peter Knowles) and July. Match reports are now provided by Steve Ray but there are still few other contributors so members are urged to send contributions to Stef or Stoo. Election of Officers. The current committee all stood for re-election and were returned unopposed. Membership Fees: Unchanged: these are Member £18 Overseas £21 Two People £22 Family £26 OAP free - the cost of membership can be saved in one train trip. AOB Rule change: Rule 24 Committee: amended to include a position Deputy-Chairman. This position will be filled by Stef Leonard. Jack Leonard raised the question of recruitment of more members (and younger members, as the membership is aging) for London Wolves. Stoo will write to Stuart Cain to ask for his support to a mail shot to South East based members of the database (Wolves have a large database of members, STH, people who have bought tickets, etc and who have been asked to accept information from Wolves’ partners. There would be a clear benefit for the club in selling more tickets and merchandise - examples of Wolves fans who don’t travel because of the train costs but who are not aware of our £16 / £8 junior tickets were given. Also to ask if the Fans page on the club website could include something about cheap travel http://www.wolves.premiumtv.co.uk/page/SupportersClubContacts/0,,10307,00.html against our entry. If this is unsuccessful we can also try through the Parliament. Stoo, Stef also to look at local advertising possibilities Kit Sponsorship. It was agreed that London Wolves should continue to sponsor Neil Collins. Doog recognition. Two items were discussed. First, to see what recognition Wolves will make. This is due to be discussed at the next Parliament (see Cliff’s item) and there is a proposal for a bust to be funded by fans from Chris Cox. A mural has also been discussed. The other element was how London Wolves should continue to recognise Doog. Both subjects were delegated to the committee to take action. The website will continue with its tribute pages. Dave Hodges offered his services for his now very sophisticated music system at future events and is available .for other events - he has provided the music for an event for John Engleman. Player of the Season Trophy. This will be presented to Matt Murray prior to the Reading game by Callum Reed. Wolves in Pictures. This new book by David Instone can be ordered via a form on the site link here. We hope to have a copy for the next WWLSC competition. A Load of Bull (ALOB). The first issue of the Wolves Fanzine this season should be out for the Watford match, but Charles Ross is planning a Doog special for the second issue. He will welcome any Doog stories or memories - you can email him (after the Watford match) at “aloadofbull” <aloadofbull@blueyonder.co.uk>
Cliff again travelled South for the meeting to update us on what’s happening at Molineux and Compton. First, the atmosphere is so much improved over 12 months ago - thanks to Mick McCarthy and his approach. For his area of responsibility - 2 hospitality areas are already sold out and some 16,800 season tickets have been sold. (Ed compared with 12,500 this time last year). Cliff thinks the Doog will be recognised by a minute’s silence or applause in advance of the first league home match against Watford (live on Sky 11th August 17:20pm). He’s not aware of what else is planned but expects it to be covered at the Parliament. The Parliament due last week has been deferred in order for Steve Morgan to participate. The handover is going ahead but tangled with unravelling the Hayward Trusts. Mick has been backed fully by Steve and SJH. Mick appears buoyant and confident. The players, too, (ed as we saw at the MTP and Kit lunch) are very very positive and keen to participate in the Club activities, led by Mick. They all attended the end of season (Charlton) dinner. They’re very quick to participate in things like the player of the match awards, whereas the previous regime tried to get out of it. We now have the strength in depth to maintain fitness and participate fully in the Pontin’s reserve league. Players - Denes, Jamie, and Jemal are all available for transfer (for details see Garry’s News here). Kevin O’Connor is out on loan, and we should expect some more loaners out, especially of Academy graduates, to build their match fitness and training dedication. The academy graduates continue to impress Mick and we should expect good seasons from them, especially Stephen Gleeson and Lewis Gobern. Mick has said that he believes Lee Collins is already ready for first team football. We’d like to thank Cliff for his openness and continued support of the club.

In true Earl style however, the tankard was soon appropriated by Keith’s son Ricky, who also, apparently, was at the Sherpa Van final 20 years ago
Harley Bill was delighted to win the new signed Wolves shirt and we hope it will carry him on his charity fundraising ride (on a Harley of course) across America to Alaska in July. You can sponsor Bill who is raising funds for the National Deaf Children’s Society - please email him with a donation, however large or small you can afford. If you pay tax please sign for gift aid harleybill@ntlworld.com Bill expects to cover some 7,000 miles and has already raised nearly £3,000.
STOP PRESS: BILL WAS DENIED ENTRY TO THE USA BY IMMIGRATION WHO THOUGHT HE WAS AN HELLS ANGEL - IN A WOLVES CHAPTER!!!! HERE’S BILL’S STORY Hell is in Denver sadly, Harley Bill Singleton was thwarted in his efforts this to raise £3,000 for the National Deaf Children's Society by the US Immigration turkeys who refused to believe that he wasn't an Hells Angel, that the Wolf's head on his jacket wasn't an evil chapter of the Angels, or that he was raising money for charity, and wouldn't let him start his 7,000 mile tour. A simple check on our website would have told them. Denver Broncos? More like Denver Donkeys. Although this was very frustrating, he's not given up and is trying to get a new visa but has to attend an interview at the Grosvenor Square Embassy. Anyway, Bill feels obliged to offer anyone who contributed to the National Deaf Children's Society and would like their contribution returned, to get their money back. Just email him harleybill@ntlworld.com If you're happy to continue supporting this very worthy cause, there's no need to do anything. If you haven't and would like to contribute to NDCS please contact Bill.
The captions were Runner Up - “Yes it is right ,there is more hair around your a*se than on your head” ..and the winning caption was ..........”I’m leading by half a length ! but Gay Boy is coming up on the rails ....ah. Thanks to everyone who entered raising £46.50. Roy donated the signed shirt and it raised the prize money and the cost of the engraved tankard. Chairman: After Roy Eagles’s presentation to Stuart, and a suitable recovery time had elapsed, Stoo got the meeting under way by welcoming everyone. He said he’d brought the meeting forward to try to increase the attendance, but we were down to 24. Unfortunately that included our friend at Wolves, Cliff Egan, who’d left to run the Commercial operations at Gillingham, and Matt Grayson, Wolves’ new Head on Communications & PR as the meeting clashed with his holiday. In his opening address Stoo singled out Peter for the Travel and Dave. We also clashed with Tim’s vacation but he had got the accounts, with Peter’s inputs in on a different schedule and was applying to be a member of the Wolves Parliament, representing London Wolves and travelling fans. Stefan and Steve were thanked for a great job on the newsletter (with input from the Chairman of course) as was Peter for the Unforgettable Doog DVD. Stuart reminded everyone that it was three weeks to the sad anniversary of Doog’s death, and said that some work was going on about a tribute Bust or Statue. No one raised nay matters on last year’s minutes so they were accepted. Dave Slape (Secretary) thanked Peter W, and others for their assistance and covered various expenses - which had reduced significantly by saving postage with downloaded copies of the Newsletter. Of the Doog memorabilia which Dave has sold. £148 cams from the poster, £565 from the signed “Sash” books. and £531 from the DVD. (additional DVD info below) Accounts: The shirt sponsorship was questioned as a large item but it was generally felt, that apart from the Season Tickets etc this was the best way to put finds into Wolves, and it did place an “advert” in the matchday magazine. Stuart also said that he was pleased that Neill Collins had taken the trouble to personally thank him for the shirt sponsorship. It was noted that the expenditure on the Doog (Sash) book was in last year’s accounts. Income from programmes was from copies being donated (Accounts are reproduced below the pictures) Travel - Peter Woodifield: travel was organised for 26 home and 14 away matches, and special thanks went to Maurice for transport for some difficult to get to evening games. Away travel increased. Wednesday Cardiff and Scunthorpe away matches were subsidised but there was a £611.65 profit overall, outweighed by a loss of £655 on the season tickets. Some sums are outstanding still, and the £5 fines have also been levied. 13 away season tickets have been bought by members. Once again the Wolves ticket office have been extremely helpful. 2008-9 travel details will be published soon after we know the fixtures. Social. There is no social secretary, bit Stef arranged the Meet the Players in Docklands which was very popular( and preceded a great win thanks to birthday boy Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Karl Henry at Charlton) pix here Newsletter. There is no newsletter editor but a special newsletter was produced with a Doog tribute pullout at Christmas by Stef, which itself received many tributes. Thanks to Steve for handling all the match reports. The printed copy run has been halved as members take e-copies which saves a lot in postage. Thanks to Dave for sending out all the copies. An end of season issue is planned. Stef issued the perennial plea for contributions. Scanning of back copies to get them all on line is in progress thanks to Matt Hawthorne and Bones. Election of Officers. It was decided to continue with the tribute “Honorary Life President Derek Dougan RIP”. The committee stood for re-election and was re-elected. Membership fee. Agreed not to change AOB - nothing raised Wolves Club Input. Cliff Egan has moved to Gillingham. Matt Grayson was unable to attend to represent the Club and sent his apologies but the meeting clashed with his vacation. Various transfer stories were discussed, and cold water (thankfully) poured on the Dwight Yorke story. Note: These are not the official minutes,
ACCOUNTS
accounts are above this WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS LONDON SUPPORTERS CLUB MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD AT THE BROCKLEY SOCIAL CLUB ON SATURDAY 7th June 2008
The Chairman, Stuart Earl, opened the meeting at 15.00hrs welcoming all those present. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE: G.Mastbraker, T.Owers, T.Richards, P.Davies, S.Knapp, D.Bracher, K.Hatwell, S.Hatwell, P.O’Connor, M.Grayson, G.Blake, G.Vincent, P.Coles, J.Engleman. CHAIRMAN’S ADDRESS: Instead of starting the meeting in the normal manner, Stuart gave the floor to Roy Eagles in order for Roy to make the presentation of prizes for the recent caption competition. The winner was Bill Singleton who received a signed Wolves shirt, and the runner up, Ken Goulding, received £10.00. Roy thanked everybody who had taken part in the competition. Stuart was then left speechless when Roy presented him with an engraved tankard in recognition of all the work he does on the Club’s behalf. Stuart then explained the reasoning behind holding the AGM a month earlier than usual. It had been hoped that greater numbers would attend by not ‘cutting in’ to the holiday season. Unfortunately, numbers were more or less the same as in previous years so a re-think for next year is on the cards. Stuart then proceeded to bestow heartfelt thanks on Peter Woodifield and Dave Slape for all their hard work throughout the year in helping the Club to progress smoothly. He also thanked Peter Bartlett for his tremendous effort in producing the excellent ‘Doog’ DVD and, of course, our superb website. He also thanked Stef Leonard and Steve Ray for the work they put into the magazine, especially the ‘Doog’ edition which received much praise from all who read it. The work on a ‘Doog’ memorial, in the shape of a bust or a statue at Molineux, was progressing and Stuart would keep the membership informed as and when firm proposals were in place. He did say that estimated costs were in the region of £20,000 and a lot of support had been pledged. Stuart stated that our regular guest from Molineux, Cliff Egan, had resigned from his post due to family commitments, and taken up a similar role close to his roots, with Gillingham FC. Stuart stated that he would always be welcome to visit us. Cliff’s successor, Matt Grayson, had wanted to be here but sent an apology as he was away on holiday. Finally, Stuart announced that Tim Richards had applied to stand as a member of the Fans’ Parliament representing London Wolves. There were no questions for the Chairman. MINUTES OF THE 2007 AGM: Copies of last year’s minutes were available for those who hadn’t seen them, although the Chairman reminded the meeting that they had been previously circulated in the Newsletter and by individual e-mail. MATTERS ARISING: As there were no matters arising, Stef Leonard proposed that they be accepted as a true record and this was seconded by Leo Mastbraker. The Minutes were passed unanimously. SECRETARY’S REPORT: Dave Slape announced that our membership numbers stood at 202 with 34 renewals for 2008. He had received £2,484.00 in subscriptions and £22.00 in donations. On top of that, he had received a total of £1,520.63 for items such as badges, car fobs, programmes, pontoon sales and ‘Doog’ posters, DVD’s and books. His expenses amounted to £458.81 on items such as stationary, stamps and printing. He had detailed costs of all items if anyone wanted a closer scrutiny. Dave wished to thank Peter Woodifield, Roy Eagles, Steve Ray, Sarah Knap, Bob Goddard and Peter Bartlett for their assistance throughout the year. There being no questions for the Secretary, Stuart thanked Dave for his usual stirling effort. TREASURER’S REPORT: Unfortunately, Tim Richards was unable to attend the meeting but did send in his Financial Statement which the Chairman and the Travel Secretary presented. In brief, we are happily solvent and have money in both the current and deposit accounts. The Club also made a profit of £2,310.54 in last years’ trading. (accounts are shown above) TRAVEL SECRETARY’S REPORT: Peter Woodifield reported that we ran organised trips to all 26 home matches and 14 long distance away games last year, which included a coach trip to the Cardiff City FA Cup match. Most journeys ran to time, with just a couple of delays for which we received voucher refunds. The Marylebone service was used several times when Virgin Trains would not accept group bookings. Peter singled out praise for Morris Jacobs for providing transport to a number of evening matches. The highest attended home trips were 42 for QPR, and 40 for Preston and Ipswich. The highest attended away trips were29 for Ipswich, 27 for Cardiff (FA Cup), and 26 for Bristol City. The Club part-subsidised the away trips to Sheffield Wednesday, Scunthorpe and the FA Cup game in Cardiff. The profit on the trips amounted to £611.65. The Group Travel fare to home games had been increased by Virgin to £17.00, from £16.00, but this was more than reasonable as it was the first increase for some 4-5 years. Peter complained that some members were still failing to turn up for trips without giving any prior notification. For those members who fail to cancel their trip, a £5.00 discretionary fine will be imposed together with the cost of the fare. The Club had purchased 7no.season tickets under the ‘Early Bird’ scheme in March 2007 at a cost of £3,106.00. Unfortunately, a loss of £655.00 had been made on the sale of match tickets, but Peter was grateful to those members who loaned their season tickets to the Club when unable to attend a match themselves. Peter had again renewed our 2008-09 season tickets on the ‘Early Bird’ scheme. There were 13no. away season tickets purchased by members, including 2no. by the Club. For individual matches, ticket prices have been increased by £1.00 in each stand. Peter wanted to record his thanks, again, to the Wolves Ticket Office, particularly to Pam & Steve, in meeting all our requests for match tickets for last season. Peter also thanked Dave Slape for all his hard work throughout the year. Peter concluded by announcing that travel details for next season would appear on our website once the fixtures had been published. There being no questions for the Travel Secretary, Stuart thanked Peter for all his hard, and often, frustrating work. SOCIAL SECRETARY’S REPORT: This position on Committee is still vacant so there was little to report. Stef stated that there had been no activities undertaken other than our annual ‘Meet the Players’ evening prior to the Charlton Athletic match on Saturday 29th March. This had been a great success, even though it was a rather shortened occasion due to the team coach being seriously delayed in getting to the hotel by heavy motorway congestion. Nonetheless, Mick McCarthy and the team, as usual, did us proud by being very approachable for photos, autographs and chats. The event was made all the better by the following day’s 3-2 last minute win. NEWSLETTER EDITOR’S REPORT: Stef pointed out that the Editor’s post was still vacant but he was prepared to continue in the short term in this role. He stated that two editions, July and December, had been published last season. He was particularly pleased with the December issue which contained an 8-page tribute section dedicated to the ‘Doog’. The meeting wholeheartedly agreed that it was indeed an excellent issue, with many favourable reports coming from outside the Club. Stef thanked Steve Ray for producing the match reports and Peter Bartlett for the photographs and general information. He lamented that the Newsletter needed fresh articles and news of interest from members, otherwise the production could become ‘stale’. He urged members to send in any items of interest. Stef also stated that the decision to send the Newsletter out to some of the membership by e-mail as saving money on the print run as well as the post and packaging. There being no questions for the Editor, Stuart thanked Stef and his team for the good work. ELECTION OF OFFICERS: It was proposed by Roy Eagles and seconded by Peter Abbott that the Committee be re-elected en bloc. This was agreed and passed unanimously. MEMBERSHIP FEE: The meeting decided that there was no need for the subscription level to be altered. ANY OTHER BUSINESS: After a short discussion, the meeting agreed that there was no need to change our Life President position. Our Life President would, therefore, remain Derek Dougan RIP. There being no other business, the Chairman brought the meeting to a close at 16.05hrs.
